Emery Pharma to Sponsor Chinese American BioPharmaceutical Society (CABS) Workshop

Emery Pharma is excited to announce its sponsorship of Chinese American Biopharmaceutical Society’s (CABS) upcoming workshop, “Journey from Discovery to IND to Early Development”, taking place on November 9, 2024, at Hanhai BioLabs in Burlingame, California. This workshop will bring together experts from the pharmaceutical and biotech industries to share valuable insights and experiences in drug discovery and development.

Emery Pharma’s CEO, Dr. Ron Najafi, will be a distinguished speaker at the event presenting on “Nitrosamines in Pharmaceuticals: Tracing Root Cause and Navigating Risk Assessment”, focusing on the detection, management, and mitigation of nitrosamine impurities in drug products, an increasingly critical issue in pharmaceutical safety.

The workshop will cover essential aspects of the drug development pipeline, including:

  • Small-molecule lead optimization
  • Drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK)
  • Nonclinical safety assessments
  • Innovative approaches to high-throughput screening

This event is organized by the Chinese American BioPharmaceutical Society (CABS), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing life sciences and biotechnology industries through education, collaboration, and networking.

“This collaboration aligns with Emery Pharma’s mission to contribute to the development of safer, more effective pharmaceuticals, and we look forward to sharing our expertise with the industry,” said Dr. Ron Najafi.

Emery Pharma looks forward to helping foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing at this event, which promises to provide invaluable takeaways for professionals at every stage of drug discovery and development.
